Pollution is defined as a presence of a poisonous substance that is harmful to the earth's environment. It causes environments to become unstable and endangered. Pollution comes in many forms such as air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution etc,. We humans contribute immensely to these forms of pollution. Just by driving a car, we are releasing vehicle emissions which are one of the leading pollutants that cause dangerous health problems like lung disease and asthma. Our heavy industries also do a fair share of contaminating water supplies with chemicals due to underground leakage. However, not all pollution is manmade. Natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes take a toll on making the earth unsuitable for living things. This article expressed the excessive damage caused by Japans tsunami earthquake in 2011. On top of the casualties from the event, their water supply was contamintated and Nuclear contaminants were released into the air. This was a major problem for Japan. I find this issue extremely crucial to myself and all the inhabitants of earth. Due to our selfish concerns and lack of nurturing for our planet we humans are about to find ourselves in an irreversible situation. I feel like environmental issues are not seen as a concern to the public. They simply do not see the severity of these hazardous problems and refuse to be environmentally conscious. I believe that if the whole world works together to take easy steps in converting to eco-friendly products we could do the earth some good and make it suitable for generations to come. http://www.earthtimes.org/encyclopaedia/environmental-issues/pollution/
